Materials to Begin

Let's Begin

So in Autodesk Inventor, there are two-parts, one is the education version that lets you download Autodesk inventor for free and the second version is the work version and for that, you will have to pay, but the good thing about the second version it has a lot of freedom working with Autodesk Inventor.

  • Now you should have Autodesk inventor and the VEX part.

  • Now open Autodesk inventor

  • When you are in Autodesk inventor you will click on the assembly button.

  • After clicking on the assembly you now bring the vext parts in the assembly

  • By clicking on placed.

  • After clicking on placed now you will choose a file that you download.

  • After clicking on the file you will now choose one of the 5 folders.

  • So let’s say you chose the structure and structure has all the metal and screws and nuts.

  • After choosing the structure you will click on a part.

  • So after clicking on the part, the part will show up on the tab but do the same thing drag another part.

  • After that, you will choose the constraint option.

  • From there you can select any part you want, and begin designing

Examples

  • A good example is good because it looks good and it looks very organized.

  • This example is bad because it doesn’t look good, and it doesn’t organize, some of the parts are interfering with another part.
